Casa Castro: Casa Castro began in Sao Paolo, the largest city in Brazil, sprung from the imagination of the Portuguese Immigrant Antonio Teixeira de Castro in 1922. Together with his wife, Julieta Salla de Castro, they created jewelry lines for casual wear as well as specialty jewels, always with attention to high quality. The firm develops and maintains craftsmen who typically are with Casa Castro for over 40 years. Antonio’s grandson, Antonio Carlos de Castro Tinoco Cabral, is now at the helm continuing the tradition of custom client service and quality design, frequently working with families who have been clients for generations. He has brought in his two daughters, Kika and Vivi, the fourth generation, who have developed the monogram line, pairing tradition and modernism. As the youngest, they have also developed the Prêt-à-Porter line, which is highly creative and innovative in use of exotic and unexpected materials and gems. Casa Castro plans on continuing strong through the 21st century.
