Shape(s): Full-Cut
Count: 26 - 50
Colored Gems:
Type(s): Sapphire
Shape(s): Round
Count: 51 - 75
Avg Quality: Good
Metals:
Gold
Overall Condition: Very Good
Condition Notes: The center round shaped sapphire measures approximately 5.85 x 6.00 x 3.40 mm, with an estimated weight of 0.85 to 0.95 carat. Surrounding sapphires range from approximately 3.00 mm to 4.25 mm in diameter and display an overall slightly deeper tone relative to the center stone. Prismatic crystal inclusions with lustrous, well formed crystal faces are present within the centrally set sapphire, features that suggest the sapphire may be unheated or subjected only to low temperature heat treatment.
The diamonds are of high quality, though faceting varies modestly from stone to stone. A small area of yellow gold toned solder visible on the reverse indicates possible historic maintenance, though it is unobtrusive and does not affect structural integrity. No definitive metal stamps were observed for alloy identification, however, XRF analysis and standard nitric acid testing indicate the primary construction is executed in 18k white gold.
