    Condition Notes: The intaglio depicts Arion, the Greek poet, who is best known for the mythical story of his being kidnapped by pirates and rescued by dolphins. Marked 18K. Completed by a double pinstem and catch on the reverse.
    Elizabeth Locke: Elizabeth Locke spent her childhood in the Shenandoah Valley, obtained a degree in Modern Italian Literature begun at Duke and completed at the University of Florence, and spent six years as a contributing editor of Town & Country magazine.
