    Condition Report*: Designer: Luigi Saulini
    Gem Type: Helmet Shell
    Gem Average Clarity: Good
    Gem Shape: Arched Rectangle
    Gem Count: 1 - 25
    Overall Condition: Very Good
Notes: An amazing piece of art history attributed to a recognized artist. The cameo has a lovely soft curve to showcase the fresco-style work. The frame is not original to the cameo which makes one wonder in what form this cameo may have originally been worn (perhaps in a tiara?)
Luigi Saulini: Luigi Saulini (1819 - 1893) and his father, Tommaso (1793 - 1864), owned and operated a cameo-carving workshop in Rome from 1830 to 1883. They produced carved portraits as well as ambitious compositions based on Classical sculptures or contemporary Neo-classical subjects.
