Colombian Emerald, Diamond, Gold Ring, Kurt WayneThe ring features a square emerald-cut emerald measuring 15.12 x 14.74 x 9.61 mm and weighing 16.70 carats, enhanced by triangle-shaped diamonds each measuring approximately 8.60 x 8.00 x 3.20 mm and weighing a total of approximately 2.50 carats, set in 18k gold, maker's mark for Kurt Wayne. An AGL report #CS 57834, dated October 31, 2013 stating Natural Beryl, Origin Colombia, Minor Clarity Enhancement, and a GIA Laboratory report # 1931149, dated October 6, 1986, accompany the emerald. Gross weight 11.69 grams.

Notes: The emerald is breathtaking. Serial number marked in shank, appears to be 98600. Emerald is abraded. Ring shank is slightly out of round.
Kurt Wayne: Kurt Wayne was born in 1909 in Vienna, Austria. At the age of ten, he was placed in the care of a jeweler, where he learned the crafts of gold and silversmithing, diamond setting and watchmaking. He and his wife immigrated to the United States in 1937, landing in New York City. He opened his business in 1945, where he developed personal relationships with the Zale family and Stanley Marcus of Neiman Marcus. He passed away in 1990.
