Condition Notes: This cleverly designed necklace features a strand of pearls and a diamond-and-carved-jade pendant. The diamond and jade pendant also serves as the closure mechanism for the necklace, so that when completely assembled, it appears as an unbroken continuous design. The necklace is equipped with a hidden-box closure and a figure-eight safety latch on either side, which insert into the sides of the jade and diamond pendant.
The pierced carving jade measures 29.05 x 16.07 x 1.55 mm. The reverse of this pendant is marked 14k, but the piece actually tests as a mixture of palladium, gold, and silver, with no one metal prominent enough to definitively call it any one kind. The reverse of this pendant is also marked with an unidentifiable maker's mark. There are signs of wear on the metal, but overall it is in good condition.
