Overall Condition: Very Good
Condition Notes: Circular form presents a finely modeled repoussé scene of a bird tending to a flowering branch, rendered in high relief across a softly textured gold ground. Delicate blossoms are accented with small diamonds, while a surrounding border of rose cut diamonds set in platinum frames. The bail continues to incorporate additional diamond accents within a platinum-topped element. French hallmarks are adjacent consisting of half a maker's mark and a Mercury head hallmark for platinum.
Construction incorporates a hinged locket style reverse with a slide opening mechanism rather than a traditional latched interior. No inner retaining framework is present. Exterior surfaces to the reverse are well preserved, free of notable denting or structural damage, while the interior shows areas of discoloration consistent with age and use.
Diamonds exhibit accumulated debris to their undersides within the mountings, imparting a slightly darker appearance than typically expected, though the stones remain intact within their settings.
