Condition Notes: Bvlgari’s Tubogas watch in 18k gold embodies the house’s iconic fusion of Italian design and horological refinement, its supple, coiling bracelet wrapping fluidly around the wrist in a seamless ribbon of gold. The circular bezel is boldly engraved with the BVLGARI signature, with light to moderate scratches to the bezel, case, and flexible tubogas bracelet consistent with cherished prior use, while the synthetic sapphire crystal remains free of visible nicks or scratches, preserving a clear view of the dial accented by single-cut diamond hour markers that lend a subtle glimmer against the dark background. Powered by a 7-jewel quartz movement, the watch runs and sets at the time of cataloging; service is recommended for optimal timekeeping accuracy.
Bvlgari: A Greek goldsmith, Sotirio Bvlgari, founded the Italian firm Bvlgari in Rome in 1881. Together with his sons, Bvlgari created magnificent jewels embodying the spirit, classicism and ageless beauty of Greek and Roman art, with a modern flair. Their distinctive style employed heavy link chains supporting ancient coins with gem accents. Fashion-minded celebrities as well as the aristocracy became devout Bvlgari patrons. The luxury brand Bvlgari set a high bar for Italian jewelry competitors for over a century. The firm continues under the LVMH umbrella.
