    The suite includes a brooch and matching earrings featuring coral beads ranging in size from 1.40 mm to 4.60 mm, enhanced by cultured pearls ranging in size from 2.00 mm to 8.00 mm, set in 18k gold, brooch marked 64 - 8242 C.S and earrings marked 62 B3938, both marked VCA ©, having French hallmarks. Gross weight 51.44 grams.

    Condition Notes: These go swimmingly with the two coral and cultured pearl VCA bracelets also being offered in this auction! Earrings completed by clip backs, brooch by double pinstem and catch. Evidence of glue on the earrings.
    Van Cleef & Arpels: Parisian jeweler Alfred Van Cleef opened his salon in partnership with his brothers-in-law, Julien and Charles Arpels, in 1906. The company quickly earned a reputation for using only the highest quality colored gemstones. Their timeless designs employed elegant curves and clean fluid lines; capturing the essence of beauty in motion. In 1930, the firm patented the first minaudiere, a purse-like compartmentalized vanity case. In 1933, Van Cleef and Arpels introduced "invisible setting", or “mystery setting”. This innovative technique took the market by storm. The firm continues under the umbrella of the Richmont Group.
