Diamond, Emerald, Gold Brooch, Georg Jensen & Wendel A/SThe brooch features full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.00 carat, enhanced by round-shaped emeralds weighing a total of approximately 0.45 carat, set in 18k gold, stamped GJ&W for Georg Jensen & Wendel A/S, circa 1950. Gross weight 24.50 grams.

Note: Antique and vintage gold jewelry by Georg Jensen is relatively rare. Almost all jewelry made by the firm is designed in silver and semi-precious stones. This particular brooch bears the stamp GJ&W, for Georg Jensen & Wendel A/S, a mark used from 1945 to 1951 to denote items that were sold in the Copenhagen salon.
