    Condition Notes: Maker's mark for Garrard, 750, English hallmarks. The smaller bar is completed by a post, the larger bar has an affixed friction back into which the smaller bar is inserted--can be worn askew or straight. Accompanied by a pouch embroidered with the Garrard crown and "G", two sections within to keep earrings separate.
    Garrard & Co. Ltd. : George Wickes established Garrard & Co. in London in 1735, providing jewelry and other luxury items to English aristocrats. The company changed hands to the Garrard family in 1802. In 1843, Queen Victoria appointed Garrard to become the Crown Jewellers of the Royal Family as well as the keepers of the Crown Jewels until 2007. Today, the luxury brand is found all over the world, including their own boutique in Harrods.
