Angelo Giorgio Cazzaniga was born in Rome in 1908. He spent his childhood on the estate of Prince Abamelek Lasarev, a cousin of Tsar Nicholas II. He was influenced by the beautiful works of art in the collection of Prince Abamelek. This is reflected in his bold style from the 1950's through the 1970's. After his death in 1976, his sons followed in the jewelry business. Paolo still runs his firm under the name of his father, continuing to make jewelry in the Byzantine and Renaissance influenced style.
