Condition Notes: According to the accompanying GIA report, five of the rubies in the design have been identified as unheated Burmese material, while the sixth has been determined to be heat-treated. The report also notes that the rubies exhibit a color appearance commonly referred to in the trade as "pigeon blood."
Under magnification, most rubies display surface-reaching features, abrasions, and occasional cavities. The earrings are designed for pierced ears and are fitted with posts and friction backings. Ruby and diamond weights are stamped on the underside of each earring.
