Diamond, Platinum Convertible Earrings, Linz, circa 1950
The earrings feature briolette-cut diamonds measuring 8.60 x 5.95 x 5.50 mm and 8.70 x 5.35 x 5.10 mm and weighing a total of approximately 3.75 carats, enhanced by marquise-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 2.20 carats, further enhanced by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.50 carat, accented by baguette-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.40 carats, set in platinum, completed by hinged screw backs on the reverse. The reverse has a release permitting the baguette-cut diamond segment to be worn on its own. Made by Linz. Total diamond weight is approximately 7.85 carats. Gross weight 15.95 grams.
