Dimensions: 2-5/8 inches x 9/16 inch

Condition Report*:
Colored Gems:
Type(s): Malachite
Shape(s): Drop Cabochons
Count: 1 - 25
Avg Quality: Good
Metals:
Gold
Overall Condition: Very Good
Condition Notes: Here we have a trendy pair of malachite drop cabochons measuring 45.35 x 15.25 x 10.30 mm suspended from 18k gold shepherd hooks. Both malachite cabs bear very minor surface blemishes upon close inspection. Malachite forms near the surface in oxidized copper deposits, often alongside azurite and chrysocolla. Its intricate banding develops as layers of mineral-rich groundwater deposit malachite rich solutions over time, with variations in copper content, temperature, and chemistry creating the alternating light and dark green patterns characteristic of the stone.
*Heritage Auctions strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
