Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.: Parisian artist and jeweler Jean Schlumberger's (1907-1987) career began as a costume jewelry designer for Elsa Schiaparelli. Recognition came when in 1955; he joined Tiffany & Co., becoming the first designer given the privilege of signing his name to his jewelry. Schlumberger's love of nature such as butterflies, birds, sea life and flowers lead to enchanting designs that are highly prized and collectible to this day. Gold
