    Gentleman's Cat's-Eye Chrysoberyl, Colored Diamond, Diamond, Gold Ring, Gary Ewing
    The ring centers a cat's-eye chrysoberyl measuring 12.00 x 7.30 mm and weighing approximately 10.00 carats, enhanced by full-cut yellow diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.45 carat, accented by full-cut near-colorless diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.25 carat, set in 18k gold. Gross weight 31.60 grams.

    Condition Notes: Ring marked GE, 18k. Hand etched "Handmade for G.S. Phillips". Minor pits and scratches to cat's-eye commensurate with wear. The cat's-eye is centered and moderately sharp, set in a hammered finished mounting with compass motif. Sizing beads within shank.
    Gary Ewing: Gary Ewing specializes in original unique handmade fine jewelry often collaborating with the wearer to create a one of a kind piece. In the 1980's after studying gemstone cutting, jewelry design and manufacturing in Norway he returned to San Francisco. He continued training with several master goldsmiths in the Bay area opening his own studio and showroom in 1984. Following years of custom design creations working mostly in 18k gold and platinum he moved to Hawaii in 2000. His influences are Scandinavian design, European artisanship and antique restoration.
