    Antique Multi-Gemstone, Silk, Kundan Pendant-Necklace
    The ornate pendant, designed with a floral motif, features a pear-shaped ruby cabochon, enhanced by abstract pear-shaped emerald cabochons, accented by fancy-cut white sapphire tablets, highlighted by champlevé enameling in red, white, blue, and green on the reverse. The pendant suspends from a multi-colored braided silk cord. Gross weight 33.60 grams.

In the Illustrated Dictionary of Jewelry, by Harold Newman, the definition of Mughal jewelry is "articles of Indian jewelry made from the beginning of the Mughal Empire in 1526 until its gradual disintegration after Aurangzeb (1658-1707) and thereafter for some time during the period of British control..."
