    The necklace is composed of natural and cultured pearls ranging in size from 3.00 mm - 8.00 mm, forming a graduated single knotted strand, completed by a platinum clasp, accented by a marquise-cut diamond measuring 10.50 x 5.80 x 2.40 mm and weighing approximately 0.80 carat, marked Cartier. A GIA report # 55182214361, dated March 17, 2017, stating 93 Natural pearls, 4 cultured pearls, accompanies the necklace. Gross weight 13.60 grams.

    Condition Notes: The 4 cultured pearls are nearest the clasp. There is a reference #362 on the backside of the clasp. The marquise-cut diamond is an old-cut stone with a large culet.
    Cartier: In 1847 Louis-Francois Cartier founded his business, creating jewelry made of gold, awash with colorful enamels and glittering gemstones. This appealed to the French aristocracy. His son, Alfred joined him, and later grandsons Louis, Pierre, and Jacques, who took over during the Art Deco era. The company's distinctive Oriental-influenced style helped create a jewelry empire with worldwide locations. Joined by designer Jeanne Toussaint in 1933, Cartier created a range of vanity cases, desk sets and accessories.
