    The necklace features cat's-eye emeralds ranging in size from 6.35 x 5.35 x 3.40 mm to 10.65 x 8.02 x 6.00 mm and weighing a total of 20.45 carats, enhanced by marquise and full-cut diamonds weighing a total of 15.77 carats, set in 18k white gold, marked Mikimoto. A Gübelin report #18042011/ 1-11, dated April 18, 2018 stating Natural Beryl, Cat's Eye Emerald, Origin Brazil, Indications of Insignificant to Minor Clarity Enhancements, accompanies the emeralds. Gross weight 67.00 grams.

    Condition Notes: Stone weights are known. The necklace is accompanied by a Gübelin Gemmological Report, photograph and rendering of the necklace, a size chart of all the emeralds, a copy of the sales receipt and fitted box. Marked Mikimoto, K18 15.77 Ct on the clasp.
    Mikimoto: The name Mikimoto is synonymous with the highest quality Japanese cultured pearls available. Its founder, Kokichi Mikimoto, was an early pioneer in the concept of pearl farming. While he was not the first to invent the culturing process, Mikimoto did refine it, patenting his technique. He is recognized as the master of the culturing process. The need for culturing pearls arose out of the demise of the natural pearl market in 1930, when over-fishing and pollution devastated pearl beads. Today, cultured pearls are farmed worldwide with Japan, China, Australia and Thailand the leading producers.
