The 7/8-inch drop portion of the necklace is fully detachable, secured by a corkscrew-style bail located at the reverse. The bail is stamped with individual carat weights: 0.17 carat for the small oval-shaped accent stone, 0.90 carat for the diamonds within the drop, and 1.60 carats for the prominent pear-shaped stone at the base. The clasp of the necklace bears the figures 15.76/7.81, referencing the total emerald and diamond weights respectively.
Under magnification, two of the smaller emeralds set higher along the necklace were observed with minor chips at their points. These do not detract significantly from the overall appearance but are noted for accuracy.
