    Edwardian Natural Pearl, Diamond, Cultured Pearl, Platinum-Topped Gold Necklace
    The necklace is composed of natural pearls ranging in size from 2.62 - 4.88 mm, forming a single strand, completed by a platinum-topped 18k gold clasp featuring a cultured pearl measuring 4.30 - 4.40 mm, accented by European-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.50 carat. A GIA report # 2193498421, dated July 30, 2018, stating 147 Natural Pearls, Saltwater Pinctada Species, No Indications of Treatment, accompany the strand. Gross weight 7.60 grams.

    Condition Notes: A delicate detail. Metal tests as platinum-topped 18k gold. Some of the diamonds fall into the I clarity range, and one has a large cavity on the table. The pearl in the clasp has not been tested for treatment or origin. There are 148 total pearls in the necklace, 147 of which have been certified as natural by GIA. Circa 1900.
