The necklace centers an Escudo 24k gold coin, enhanced by square step-cut emeralds weighing a total of approximately 7.30 carats, accented by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.25 carats, set in high karat gold, marked Smiths. Gross weight 431.00 grams.

Condition Notes: Philip V Mexican 8 Escudos (also Cob Type), struck between 1701 and 1713 at the Mexico City mint. The centerpiece is marked USA Smiths 24k. The clasp is marked 750 with an unknown hallmark.
