Condition Notes: Featuring a perfectly round 18k necklace and a removable slide pendant, this piece sits ideally when worn, free from flipping or other nuisances common in tension-based designs. The chain is marked 750/HS and secures with a fold-over safety and push-button box clasp. The pendant and chain are fully separable.

The pendant bears two French eagle head hallmarks for 18k, along with what appears to be an H. Stern French maker’s mark, suggesting the piece likely originated from the brand’s Parisian boutique. The reverse of the pendant also displays H. Stern’s signature star motif. This piece comes with a signed H. Stern necklace box for safe keeping.
H. Stern: The Brazilian jewelry company, H. Stern, was founded by a young German émigré named Hans Stern in 1945. He got his start buying and selling colored gemstones in Rio de Janeiro. His sharp eye for color was equaled by his interest in creative design. The company’s golden rule was that each piece had to be beautiful. Once small, H. Stern has grown to an international manufacturer and retailer with boutiques throughout the world. Under the leadership of Hans Stern’s son, Ronaldo, the company continues to design exquisite jewels always set with the finest quality of gemstones.
