    Condition Notes: Can't go wrong with a classic gold chain link necklace. Marked 18k, Germany, and having an overlapping double "L" mark for Lester Lampert, circa late 70s to early 90s. Completed by a box clasp and two figure-8 safety locks.
    Lester Lampert: Lester Lampert is a third-generation jeweler whose business originated of humble beginnings in 1904 when his grandfather, David Lampert, arrived in the United States from Russia. He would go on to open a manufacturing business in 1920, which steadily grew in size and notoriety in the Chicago area. Accolades in the store’s history include the invention and patent of the Sliding Diamond design, as well as the Counter Balance Rolling Ring. Lester’s designs have been exhibited at the Field Museum of Chicago on multiple occasions. He was the official designer for the Phantom of the Opera Jewelry collection, as well as the Chicago Games. The legacy of Lester Lampert is now continued by his son, David, who specializes in CAD design and jewelry technology.
