    Material: gouache, watercolor, ink and graphite on paper
    Dimensions: 8 x 11 inches (20.50 x 28.00 cm) window
    Inscribed lower right: Cartier Paris
    Inscribed lower left (in French): no 62 / study of purse / party platinum / full cuts, sapphire / 1901 Ref 62/900.
    This original rendering for a ladies evening bag featuring diamond and sapphire accents dates to 1901. The artwork is ref. 62/900.

    Notes: Notes: Minor foxing, faint waterspots, overall good condition, not examined outside of frame. Design study has not been authenticated by Cartier.
