Condition Notes: An exceptionally grandiose piece of jewelry seems like the only proper way to set such an incredible opal! This piece can be worn as a large belt buckle, a smaller belt buckle or a bolo tie. The hand engraving is done by L. Kingsbery, as marked on the reverse of the piece. The belt buckle is accompanied by a gold-topped Allen wrench that can be used to remove and replace the hardware for the other components via four screw closures. The buckle components on the back of the large frame are platinum, (tang and belt slide) and marked as such. Attachment allows for the horseshoe component to be worn without the larger accompanying frame.
