Overall Condition: Good
Condition Notes: This extravagant objet de vertu takes the form of a mountain goat, distinguished by its arched horns and confident stance. The body is primarily encrusted with multi-colored spinels in shades of pink, lavender, red, and violet. Due to the sheer volume and irregularity of the stones, no carat weight has been estimated. Two colorless stones and one pale yellow, likely fluorite and rock crystal quartz, are irregularly set among the spinels, possibly as replacements.
The entire figure is crafted in polished and textured 18k gold, with detailed fur-like engraving and high-polish hooves. The gross weight includes the 224.90 gram wooden base while the goat on its own weighs 400.20 grams. Under magnification, several spinels exhibit abrasions, surface-reaching features, and minor chips. The piece is marked for 18k gold and has been verified via XRF and traditional metal testing.
Screw-fitted, flattened hooves allow the piece to stand freely or mount to its slightly inclined wooden display base. It is housed in a decorative box lined with pink cushioning, ideal for safekeeping or gifting to anyone with an affection for gem-studded quadrupeds.
