    Retro Diamond, Multi-Stone, Platinum, Gold Earrings
    The earrings feature a round brilliant-cut diamond measuring 6.56 - 6.62 x 3.83 mm and weighing 1.02 carats and a European-cut diamond measuring 6.59 - 6.80 x 3.73 mm and weighing 1.08 carats, enhanced round brilliant-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.85 carat, accented by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.25 carat, complemented by pear and round-cut aquamarine weighing a total of approximately 2.15 carats, set in platinum, round-cut synthetic spinels set in 14k gold. GIA report # 6193980292, stating E color, SI1 clarity, accompanies the 1.02 carat diamond, and GIA report # 2191981230, stating K color, VS2 clarity accompanies the 1.08 carat diamond, dated January 15, 2019. Gross weight 12.70 grams.

    Originally the property of Thelma Thomas (b. 1901 d. 1991). Thelma learned to fly in the late 1920s and became an early member of "The Ninty-Nines" Aviation Society. Founded by Amelia Earhart, it was an organization of women aviators who liked to "Fly for the fun of it". She was an entrepreneur, a seasoned globetrotter and concert violinist who performed in the early 1920s.

Earrings are completed by posts and mismatched 14k gold friction backs, with the posts being bent. The colored stones have nicks, chips, and/or abrasions.
