Condition Notes: At the center of the design rests an 8.21 x 8.19 mm silvery blue sapphire, immediately drawing the eye with crisp saturation and lively character. Secured by six prongs, the sapphire rises above an expansive, tiered diamond surround. Concentric rows of diamonds create a dramatic domed cluster, most appear intact, though a few peripheral stones show minor contacting consistent with wear.

Profile reveals intricate openwork beneath the gallery, where vertically aligned diamond settings are stacked in graduated tiers. Several of the tendril like supports show evidence of past repair, with one exhibiting a fine hairline fracture hinting at the degree of prior repair. Measurement of the sapphire’s depth is not accessible due to the closed nature of the setting. Sizing appears feasible within a reasonable range, however, significant adjustments would not be advisable given the structural complexity of the design.
