approximately 2.75 carats
Metal: Platinum
Gross Weight: 5.40 grams
Size: 6 (sizeable)
GIA Report # 5231637160, dated July 16, 2025,
stating E color, VS2 clarity
Condition Report*:
Diamonds:
Certified Diamonds:
Stone: 1
Lab: GIA
Certification #: 5231637160
Carat: 2.75
Color: E
Clarity: VS2
Shape: Mine-Cut
Metals:
Platinum
Overall Condition: Good
Condition Notes: For years, mine cut diamonds lived quietly in the shadow of later cutting styles, only recently earning renewed appreciation for their individuality and historic character. Their broader facets, open culets, and hand fashioned proportions offer a visual rhythm distinct from modern precision. At the center of this platinum ring rests a 9.10 x 7.74 x 5.05 mm mine cut diamond displaying a clear and obvious high color, serving as the principal focus of the design.
GIA lists extra facets that appear around the girdle region to the diamond plot, a detail likely aimed at cleaning up the periphery of the diamond. Very minor contact along portions of the girdle are present in the form of slight chipping, visible under close inspection. Overall condition of the center stone is quite good, particularly in light of its likely age. The inner shank is marked JB/Platinum.
