Condition Notes: Emerald enthusiasts will want to take note of this highly unusual emerald and diamond ring in platinum. At center, a rectangular shaped emerald measuring approximately 8.65 x 5.25 x 3.85 mm appears to float within its mounting, set against a scintillating diamond backdrop. For reference, the lozenge shaped face of the ring measures approximately 32 x 18 mm.
The emerald shows evidence of clarity enhancement, as is typical for the variety. Close inspection reveals a few shallow nicks along the girdle at one corner, not visible to the unaided eye. Diamonds throughout present well, exhibiting clean clarity and high color. The carat weights for both the emerald and the diamonds are stamped internally alongside a platinum mark.
