Condition Notes: This custom-made ring by Mark Schneider was created by the previous owner to replicate the designer’s award-winning original, which appeared in GIA’s "Best of the Best" exhibition in 2003 and earned second place in the AGTA Spectrum Awards under the Bridal Division in 2002. The original design featured a tanzanite center, this reproduction instead showcases a richly colored royal blue sapphire measuring approximately 8.00 x 6.53 x 5.00 mm.
The sapphire is set in 18k white gold and accented by a small heart-shaped element in 18k yellow gold, maintaining the symbolic detail of the celebrated design. The interior of the shank is marked for Mark Schneider and 18k. Moderate wear is visible along the base of the ring shank from prior use, and minor polish lines can be seen across the sapphire’s table. *The squared Euro-style shank remains structurally sound and sizeable within reason as they tend to be a tougher resize than standard shanks.
*Heritage Auctions strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
