There is a noticeable change in the texture of the high-polish gold on one shoulder of the ring shank, displaying a matte patch that deviates from the surrounding lustrous finish. This is thought to be wear-related as opposed to jeweler's work. Additionally, the ring features a horseshoe-like sizing aid internally.
