Wiener, Ed: Ed Weiner, a New York based designer, was influenced by the Abstract Expressionist movement of the late 40’s. His designs present a contrast to the baroque and surrealistic styles of his contemporaries. At the beginning of his career, Weiner worked mostly with silver then transitioned into using gold and precious stones to create more artistic and modern pieces. He is praised for his embodiment of Modernist jewelry using abstract images, unconventional textures, and sculpted designs.
