    The ring features a pear-shaped tourmaline measuring 12.80 x 8.95 mm and weighing 3.69 carat, enhanced by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of 0.27 carat, set in 18k white gold, maker's mark for Silverhorn. A GIA report # 5192552980, dated August 16, 2018, stating Tourmaline, Origin Mozambique, Copper and Manganese bearing, accompanies the tourmaline. Gross weight 5.96 grams.

    Overall Condition: Very Good
    Condition Notes: A constant reminder of the Maldives. Marked 18K. Maker's mark for Silverhorn. Actual weights known. This copper and manganese bearing tourmaline may be called "paraìba tourmaline" in the trade. The name "paraìba" comes from the Brazilian locality where this gem was first mined, however today it may come from several localities. The depth of the stone is not measurable due to the mounting. Any statement on geographic origin is an expert opinion based on a collection of observations and analytical data.
    Silverhorn: Michael and Carole Ridding established Silverhorn in 1976 in the Canadian Rockies, where the name was acquired from the Silverhorn Mountain. In 1986 they expanded and moved their business to Montecito, CA. They specialize in custom designs using rare gemstones that Michael finds as a gem collector. He claims the gems must stand out in clarity and rarity. The designs are then carried out by a team of award winning designers and goldsmiths to create remarkable and distinct pieces.
