At her New York studio, Koven designs limited or one-of-a-kind pieces, then hand carves elements in wax or silver before sending them out to be cast in gold, silver, or carved in stone. Once all components are complete, Koven puts the finishing touches on the jewelry herself. She proudly uses handcrafted materials from all over the world, including India, Turkey, and the United States, as well as carving precious stones from artisans in Germany, Brazil, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Koven has designed for Fred Leighton, various designers during fashion week, private labels for red-carpet events, and many celebrities.
