approximately 5.00 carats; baguette and full-cut
diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.75 carat
Metal: 18k gold
Gross Weight: 28.50 grams
Size: 12 (sizeable)
AGL Report #, Dated, Stating
Estimate: $8,000 - $10,000.
Condition Report*:
Diamonds:
Avg Color: G-H-I
Avg Clarity: VS
Shape(s): Baguette and Full-Cut
Count: 1 - 25
Metals:
Gold
Overall Condition: Good
Condition Notes: The sapphire measures approximately 11.15 by 8.75 by 8.45 mm and exhibits minor color zoning, though it presents as consistently blue overall. Under UV light, one area of zoning displays a distinct patch of orange/apricot colored fluorescence, an effect well documented in sapphires from both Madagascar and Sri Lanka. This phenomenon is typically associated with the interplay of trace elements, particularly chromium and iron, which can create localized zones of warm toned fluorescence. Due to favored wear, the sapphire shows areas of surface abrasion along with shallow chips and nicks, some of which may be improved through refinishing or recutting, though this would obviously come at the cost of precious weight. The shank is marked for 18k and addiitonally bears markings consistent with wear.
