Condition Notes: The cosmos revealed from deep within the earth's surface: this ring features a large, enthralling star ruby cabochon. The cabochon measures approximately 23.15 x 18.23 x 7.09 mm. The ruby exhibits a six-rayed, sharp asterism, with the star centered on the top of the cabochon and moving freely. Accenting the star on either side are two marquise diamonds and one full cut, totaling six diamonds on this ring. The gemstones are set in a warm 18k gold, and the shank is made of platinum. Metal purity confirmed with XRF testing.
The inside of the shank is marked for 18k gold and platinum, "31.67", and "D1.40", indicating the carat weight for the star ruby cabochon and aggregate diamond weight. Independent carat-weight estimations for the diamonds align with that inscription, confirming the weight attribution for the piece.
