    The ring features an emerald-cut green tourmaline measuring 9.60 x 3.75 mm, enhanced by a triangle-cut blue tourmaline weighing approximately 0.75 carat, accented by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.15 carat, set in 18k and 22k gold, marked JB for James Barker. Gross weight 14.70 grams.

    Condition Notes: A fabulous and artistic ring. Marked: JB 18K 22K. Sizing would disrupt the pattern of the band. Inside of shank needs to be polished where sizing beads were removed. Depth of emerald-cut tourmaline cannot be determined due to the closed back setting. Triangle-cut tourmaline measures 6.15 x 6.10 x 3.90 mm.
    Barker, James: James Barker, who originally trained as a painter and sculptor, dabbled in graphic design, cinematography, and photography before he became a metalsmith in 1972. His work, which he created through sawing, filing, forging, soldering, fusing, repoussage, and chasing techniques, features 22k gold as well as the finest gemstones, pearls, and rare materials.
