Robert Wander: Robert Wander is a third generation jeweler who engages our imagination with his ingenious designs. Robert Wander formally studied the jewelry arts in Paris. He later embarked upon the informal education of “wandering” around the globe while exploring options. Then his father presented him with the opportunity to oversee the fine jewelry departments of Sakowitz stores in Texas. However, his free-spirited nature longed for adventure, so he set his sails anew as a marlin fishing charter boat captain. Proceeding from that expedition, Robert Wander re-entered the jewelry design world with a fresh perspective on the business that has always been an integral part of his life. Robert Wander has been celebrated for his matte-finished Etruscan designs, forerunner to the trend that permeates today’s marketplace. Following the Greek and Roman influences, he developed a series of insect and bug designs comprised of hand-carved colored stones and accented with diamonds. Recently he vitalized the previous collection with a dynamic charm when he introduced an entirely different "species".
