    The earrings feature oval-shaped sapphire cabochons, with one measuring 8.60 x 7.05 x 3.43 mm and weighing approximately 2.00 carats, and one measuring 8.46 x 7.27 x 3.70 mm and weighing approximately 2.20 carats, surrounded by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 2.00 carats, outlined by round-cut sapphires weighing a total of approximately 6.00 carats, suspending drops that feature oval-shaped sapphire cabochons, with one measuring 12.99 x 9.42 x 5.73 mm and weighing approximately 7.00 carats, and one measuring 12.21 x 9.33 x 7.80 mm and weighing approximately 9.00 carats, enhanced by full-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 3.50 carats, accented by round-cut sapphires weighing a total of approximately 11.00 carats, set in platinum, marked Van Cleef & Arpels, N.Y., 37557. Total diamond weight is approximately 5.50 carats. Total sapphire weight is approximately 36.00 carats. Gross weight 38.20 grams.

    Condition Notes: A dazzling display for day or night! The drop can be removed from the earrings via a hook on the reverse. Metal tests as platinum. Earrings completed by omega clip backs on the reverse. Accompanied by a Laykin et Cie box.
    Van Cleef & Arpels: Parisian jeweler Alfred Van Cleef opened his salon in partnership with his brothers-in-law, Julien and Charles Arpels, in 1906. The company quickly earned a reputation for using only the highest quality colored gemstones. Their timeless designs employed elegant curves and clean fluid lines; capturing the essence of beauty in motion. In 1930, the firm patented the first minaudiere, a purse-like compartmentalized vanity case. In 1933, Van Cleef and Arpels introduced "invisible setting", or “mystery setting”. This innovative technique took the market by storm. The firm continues under the umbrella of the Richmont Group.
