Condition Notes: The cameo is that of a celebratory scene perhaps set in the Italian countryside. A village couple dance at center to the tune of two flanking musicians, a seated female tambourine player and a seated male string player. Completed by pinstem and sliding trombone catch, as well as a hinged bale for use as a pendant if desired. The bale is marked 750. The gold has a matte finish and simplicity of the sculptural setting helps draw attention to the intricate detail of the cameo. Love it! The cameo shows two long fractures across the surface, visible on both front and back. Two beveled corners show cracks. Cameo is Victorian. Frame was a later addition.
