Judith Leiber Full Bead Pink & Silver Crystal Rectangular Minaudiere Evening Bag by David Salle
    Very Good Condition
    5.5" Width x 5" Height x 1" Depth
Born in 1952 in Norman, Oklahoma, David Salle is a painter, printmaker, and stage designer that helped establish a postmodern sensibility. Working in New York City in the 1970's and 1980's, Salle was influenced by film, photography, and figurative drawing and his paintings combine formal elements with fragmented references to popular culture and classical art history. Salle designed this full bead crystal minaudiere in collaboration with Judith Leiber later in his career. It depicts a floral motif done in pink, gray, and dark gray crystals atop a background of silver crystals. Stunning in its simplicity, this piece represents a brief period of artist collaborations with Judith Leiber. This bag features a silver tone push clasp closure, and a shoulder chain that can be tucked in to wear this bag as a clutch. It is signed "David Salle 2004" on the silver leather interior.

This bag is in Very Good Condition. It is missing a crystal in the center-left exterior. This lot comes with a coin purse, and dustbag.
