Hermes 25cm Shiny Vert Emerald Crocodile Sellier Kelly Bag with Gold Hardware
    T, 1964
    Very Good Condition
    10" Width x 7" Height x 3.5" Depth
This is a bag with a truly spectacular story, and a fantastic article of world history. A once in a lifetime opportunity, this bag is an essential piece for seasoned Hermes collectors and fervent historians alike. This bag was originally a gift from Bengt Olof Åkerrén, the Swedish Ambassador to London, Vienna and Geneva, to Baroness Märta Bengtsdotter Thott, née Vinstorpaätten in the mid-1960's. Pleased as any young lady of Swedish nobility would be, this bag has been incredibly well cared for, passed down through the ages, and retains its superb vintage charm withal. In addition to its incredible provenance, this bag was designed before the shoulder strap was added to the Kelly bag, making this a seldom seen handbag in any platform. This marvelous bag is done in Shiny Very Emerald Crocodile, featuring one top handle, exquisite Gold Hardware, and a flap top with a turnlock closure. The interior is done in Vert Emerald Chevre Leather, featuring two slip pockets. This bag includes two keys, a lock, and a clochette.

This bag is in Very Good Condition. There is light scratching to the exterior crocodile, moderate scratching and brown patina to the hardware, and light scuffing to the base corners. The handle exhibits some darkening, and the clous are scratched and exhibit dark patina. There is creasing to the exterior crocodile in places. The interior leather is scratched and scuffed, with denting in places. The slip pockets are stretched. All wear to this bag is consistent with age. This bag includes an Hermes box, dustbag, and a ribbon.
