    Handmade in 1982, of the finest materials in vivid hues, including a large panel of bright Rouge Vif Ostrich, and the iconic Kelly belt closure in Vert Emerald Alligator, the Sac Himalaya is one of the rarest pieces in existence by Hermes. Known for their often quirky and whimsical spirit, Hermes certainly surpassed any expectations with this piece. This bag is rarely seen, almost mythical, highly prized, and immediately identifiable as a special piece from Hermes. A late eighties era creation from the Hermes ateliers, and rightly famous for its exotic appearance, complex construction, and mix of materials, it represents the summit of true Hermes style. This bag features one Vert Emerald Alligator top handle, Gold Hardware, Violet Veau Doblis Suede siding detail, and Black Calf Box Leather trim and siding, this bag is an eclectic addition to any serious collection. This bag is finished with a snap closure, and a Vert Emerald Alligator flap top with a turnlock closure. The interior is done in Rouge Vif Chevre Leather, finishing the vibrant look of this incredible piece.

    This bag is in Good to Very Good Condition. There is significant scratching and darkening to the hardware throughout. There is evidence of significant fading from sun to the ostrich, with exception to underneath the flap top and the snap closures. The ostrich is creased in places, and there is some warping in places. There is scratching to the calf box leather throughout from wear. There is lightening to the suede from wear, and scratching, creasing, water spotting, and fading to the alligator. The interior is scratched, creased, dented, and shows signs of moderate wear. This bag includes an Hermes dustbag.
