Not only is this 50cm Travel Kelly is the perfect piece of luggage for a stylish weekend away, it carries a unique and fascinating story. Amazonia is a vegetal material made from the sap harvested from Brazilian forests. The sap is layered and stretched to produce sheets of this new Amazonia material. It can be likened to latex or rubber, and it gains strength and durability over age, like leather. This bag is also done in Havane Buffalo Leather, which complements the rich and dark natural color of the Amazonia. It features Palladium Hardware, one top handle, a lock, keys, and clochette. This bag also has a removable shoulder strap and a Herringbone canvas interior with two slip pockets.
This bag is in Good to Very Good Condition. The Amazonia shows some wear and scuffing. There is discoloration to the rear and base, along with wear along the top edge of the Amazonia. The front hardware still has its protective plastic. This bag includes a very detailed care booklet, which explains that the Amazonia will be highly sensitive until a strong patina forms. It will show light scratches and lose its sheen before the patina is strong. This booklet also mentions the balm wipes that come with the bag. They are designed to restore the Amazonia's original appearance once the patina has formed. They can be used as often as wanted and won't damage the surrounding leather. This bag also comes with a lock, keys, clochette, removable shoulder strap, and an Hermes dustbag.
