Having a maker's mark "H.G.M." for Hans George Mautner (registered in 1942) and a series of English hallmarks: "Crown" mark for gold articles, paired with an "18" mark for 18k gold, "leopard's head" mark for the London assay office, "h" date mark for 1963.
Hans George Mautner: Hans George Mautner was a jewelry designer based in Hatton Garden in London. His work was most popular in the 1950s and 60s, creating novelty brooches and charm bracelets in the shape of whimsical animals: cats, birds, elephants, monkeys, and turtles to name a few.
