    Case: 55 mm, unmarked silver, pair case, plain, with three Barstow watch papers in the outer case
    Dial: enamel, curved dial with Arabic numerals, blued steel spade hands
    Movement: gilt full plate verge fusee, cylindrical pillars, pierced balance cock with polished steel end cap, blued steel regulator with index on the plate, flat steel three arm balance wheel
    Signed: A. Barstow No. 6

    Addison Barstow (1795-1854) began his career as a watchmaker in 1815 in Medfield MA. By 1834 he had moved to Lowell where he is listed in the city directory until the 1850's as "Watchmaker and Jeweler at 129 Central Street".
