Rare & Choice Split Plate Series VII Gold Box Hinge Hunters Case, circa 1894Case: massive, 14k gold, full box hinges, N size, 57 mm, plain gold dust cover, front cover with a dog, back with a standing deer, fully engraved and chased front and back covers and box hinges, coin edge to the center rim
Dial: enamel, double sunk, Moorhouse, fancy black Arabic hour chapters, red five minute numbers, subsidiary seconds, black minute track, blued steel hands
Movement: No. 228962, nickel, split plate, 17 jewels, gold screw down jewel settings, blue plate screws, marked adjusted on the balance bridge, bi-metallic compensated balance, swan's neck regulator, damaskeened finish to the plates and mainspring barrel
